A glove box can become in need of a clean up, and this may not
be easily achieved particularly where small items are scattered
over the working and storage area.
Process spillage and run-off of materials may need to be recovered
for a variety of reasons not least for Health & Safety requirements,
for example semi-precious metals.
Glove Box Technology Ltd have developed a vacuum cleaning system
for inert gas glove box use that works in much the same manner as
a domestic cleaner. That is, it has a flexible vacuum hose with
a nozzle leading to a collection bag and filter.
This system of clean up allows for the materials to be retrieved
under inert gas for recycling, examination and/or disposal under
controlled conditions.
Collected waste or recyclable materials can be placed in containers
for transfer through the antechamber. This process is particularly
useful where the materials collected are reactive or toxic.
