Close tolerance temperature control requires accurate measurement and control over heating and chilling devices and this accuracy is assisted by the thermal insulation of the glove box and installation of double pane windows.

Depending upon the extremes of temperature, and accuracy of control required, other areas of heat transfer may require specific design consideration to raise or lower heat, or minimise heat gain or loss.
