Powder handling inside a glove box requires special features due
to the less desirable properties of the material and the contained
environment. Features may include static elimination, laminar flow
gas, antistatic window, drum-handling facilities, bagging facilities,
rail and transfer handling and vacuum cleaning.
Static electricity can have a detrimental effect when handling
powders due to the interaction of electrical charges between the
material and the bulk of equipment. Static elimination can reduce
these problems to a minimum aided by laminar flow gas.
